One click Google Earth Install for Linux

If I have said it once I have said it a hundred times, if Linux is going to make it to prime time as a desktop we need simple one click software installs. Some history: Linspire (formally Lindows) opened up its CNR (Click and Run) install program which allows you to install software on Linux with a single click to other distros. Ubuntu, Novell Suse, Freespire and Linspire are supported or are in the works. This is a great tool to get the non-tech to use Linux because Windows refugees usually do not feel comfortable with the command line or not clicking a .exe file to install sofware. And now CNR has a one click install for the popular program Google Earth. I have used Google Earth and found it to be fun, intelligent and scary at the same time (Come on I can zoom in on my house and see my mail box feels like big brother is watching!). But, I can’t deny the educational value within Google Earth. It is great to see apps like this being offered through CNR. Over time I hope to see more apps offered with this service because I believe it is one step further in making Linux a bigger contender for the desktop market.
