This video demonstrates HTC’s answer to Apple’s CoverFlow called TouchFLO. It is full of eyecandy and I really like the envelope with the messages scrollng by. The photo scrolling effect is really nice too. Should Apple watch HTC more closeley? Or do they have nothing to worry about? Let us know.

This video demostrates Microsoft’s Surface in an AT&T store.
(Rant): Now this is cutting edge stuff and is a great tool for retailers but, it is too expensive ($10,000 each) for you and I the end user to be a practical tool for our home. So Microsoft why not make something with touch that I can afford and use? I know the prices will fall over time but how much? Will it be another product that just increases the divide between the “tech haves” and the “tech have nots?” Apple did drop the price of the iPhone and it is a great product that uses touch and is realitlivly affordable. More importantly it has a real world use for comsumers. Does Surface just show the future of Microsoft being a company for the corporation’s needs and less for the consumer? Many analysts think that the reason Apple is having great sales quarters is because their products are made for us the user. Maybe I’ve got the wrong idea here folks but it seems that Microsoft shows off their technology and Apple shows what their technology can do for you.
